Resolution approving the sale of twenty two County owned delinquent tax parcels, acquired from various Shelby County Trustee tax sales to identified purchasers at various prices collectively totaling $59,010.00, pursuant to the sale provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-5-2507, and authorizing the Shelby County Mayor to execute quit claim deeds. Resolution to convey one unimproved, County owned delinquent tax parcel acquired from Shelby County Trustee tax sale number 0902, totaling 370,260 square feet (8.50 ACRES) in size, addressed as 0 Paul Barrett Parkway, to the Town of Arlington, for nominal consideration, for its use for municipal purposes including, but not limited to, a Public Works Facility; and authorizing the Shelby County Mayor to execute a quit claim deed. ORDINANCE - SECOND READING - A joint ordinance amending the Memphis and Shelby County Unified Development Code as adopted by the City of Memphis August 10, 2010, and by Shelby County August 9, 2010, to revise and enhance the joint zoning and subdivision regulations by amending regulations pertaining to accessory structures and uses, principal uses, building envelope standards, open space in manufactures home parks, apartment buildings, residential compatibility, non-single-family lots with no water or sewer, additions to building on streets with designated frontage, parking and queuing, fences and walls, limited outdoor storage, temporary signs and signs for schools and places of worship, traffic calming, zoning district boundaries in the South Central Business Improvement District, procedural reviews, neighborhood meeting notification, appeals of the Land Use Control Board, definitions, editorial commentaries and other provisions of the Code, being Case No. ZTA 13-004 CC. Resolution to approve a contract between Shelby County Government and John Pruett Architects in the amount of $35,175.00 from the FY 2013-2014 CIP Project No. 610174 - Sheriff's Office equipment storage building for Architectural and Engineering Consultant Services. This item requires the appropriation and expenditure of Capital Improvement Project Funds in an amount not to exceed $35,175.00. Sponsored by Commissioner Sidney Chism. Resolution amending the Shelby County Beer Board's Rules and Regulations so as to amend the definition of straight-line method. Sponsored by Commissioner Terry Roland.

ORDINANCE - SECOND READING - An ordinance setting the salary of the Chairman and members of the Shelby County Board of Education. Sponsored by Commissioner Mike Ritz. (DEFERRED IN JANUARY 8, 2014 COMMITTEE MEETING)

 

 

2.

Resolution redistricting the Shelby County Board of Education to establish nine districts pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated 49-2-201 and in accordance with the U.S. District Court's order of September 28, 2011 by adopting a redistricting plan consisting of nine districts and renumbering these school board districts to the districts referenced herein and requesting the Shelby County Election Commission to hold an election during the August 7, 2014 Countywide Election from the current boundaries of Districts 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, AND 9. Sponsored by Commissioner Mike Ritz.

 

3.

Resolution redistricting the Shelby County Board of Education to establish seven new districts pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated 49-2-201 and in accordance with the U.S. District Court's order of September 28, 2011 by adopting a redistricting plan consisting of seven districts and renumbering the school board districts as referenced herein and requesting the Shelby County Election Commission to hold an election during the August 7, 2014 Countywide Election from the boundaries of Districts 1, 3, 6 and 7.
