A resolution approving the conveyance of one unimproved parcel of County owned delinquent tax property to Vollintine Evergreen Community Association, a Tennessee Not-For-Profit Corporation, for nominal consideration; and to authorize the Shelby County Mayor to execute quit claim deed. 2.

Resolution approving the sale of seventy three County owned delinquent tax parcels, acquired from various Shelby County tax sales, to identified purchasers at various prices collectively totaling $431,496.00, pursuant to the sale provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 67-5-2507, and authorizing the Shelby County Mayor to execute quit claim deeds. Resolution to approve six (6) Service provider contracts for the purpose of administering pre-exposure prophylaxis services for HIV prevention on behalf of the Division of Community Services for the period of October 1, 2016 through September 29, 2017 with the option to renew for three (3) additional one year periods. This item requires the expenditure of Federal through State Grant Funds in an amount not to exceed $852,000.00. This item does not require the expenditure of General Funds. Resolution approving a contract with Avertest, LLC for the provision of random drug screenings for specialty court participants in an amount not to exceed $280,151.00 for the period of November 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, with an option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods. This item requires expenditure of FY2017 General Funds in the amount of $110,151.00, the expenditure of FY2017 Special Revenue Drug Court Funds in the amount of $120,000.00, and the expenditure of FY2017 Intergovernmental Local Grant Funds in the amount of $50,000.00. ORDINANCE - SECOND READING - A joint ordinance by the Board of County Commissioners of Shelby County, Tennessee and the City Council of the City of Memphis requiring Independent Residential Living Facilities to provide life safety equipment in all buildings.  Sponsored by Commissioner Van Turner and Commissioner Eddie Jones.

Resolution approving the purchase of twelve Phillips Heartstart MRX Cardiac monitor/defibrillators from Bound Tree Medical for Shelby County Government. Resolution approving the purchase of sixty units of personal protective equipment from Emergency Vehicle Specialists for Shelby County Government. 5.

Resolution approving an amendment to the contract between Shelby County Government and Evans Taylor Foster Childress, Architects and amending the FY2017 Capital Improvement Program Budget for additional architectural and engineering design services for the renovation of the Showplace Arena. This item requires the expenditure of pass through State Grant Funds and appropriates said funds in the amount of $58,500.00, increasing the total amount to $277,725. 2.

Resolution approving a contract with Self Tucker Architects, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $27,900.00 to provide architectural design services for the Radio Shop Expansion Project at 11670 Memphis Arlington Road. This item requires the appropriation and expenditure of Capital Improvement Program Funds in an amount not to exceed $27,900.00. Sponsored by Commissioner Mark Billingsley.

 

3.

Resolution to amend the FY 2017 Grant Operating Budget in order to transfer Federal Grant Funds to the Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County from the Defending Childhood Initiative Grant budgeted in the Community Services Division in the amount of $155,000.00 for the purpose of creating trauma-responsive environments, practices and policies, and amend the Position Control Budget to add one full-time durational position.
